The Office of Real Estate supports the University of Pittsburgh's mission through real estate business management and services. The Office is responsible for real property leasing, acquisition, disposition, and partnership initiatives to meet core needs, support community and economic development, and grow commercial revenue.

As the inaugural Vice Chancellor for Real Estate, Anish Kumar established the University’s Office of Real Estate as a financially self-sustaining entity responsible for developing and implementing the University's real estate strategy to meet core space needs, support community and economic development objectives, and generate commercial revenue. Through his leadership, the University continues to build foundational strength for real estate decisions that advance the University's academic, economic, physical, social and civic goals.
