One of the six offices that comprises Business & Operations, the Office of Real Estate is tasked with enhancing the University’s campus and communities through the active development, planning, delivery, and management of real estate assets.
As the Oakland neighborhood and the City of Pittsburgh continue to grow and advance in the academic and medical fields, the University’s need for a dedicated real estate team became apparent. The Office of Real Estate was officially established in 2022, with Anish Kumar leading as the first vice chancellor for real estate.
