The University, faced with recent program developments and no immediately available sites, identified the 3396 Fifth Avenue site as an opportunity to support Pitt's growing programmatic and lab needs. The adjacency of this site to the University’s research enterprises and UPMC is ideally suited for such programs, aligning well with the location and University real estate strategy.
This new addition to Pitt's campus will include nearly 100 parking spots and consists of approximately 306,000 SF of office, wet labs, dry labs, teaching and retail space. Core and shell work is expected to be complete in winter of 2024.
