Jodi Cardone

As the Director of Real Estate Leasing, Jodi is responsible for all functions and activities directly related to leasing commercial properties for the University for office, lab, administrative and classroom space, as well as lease administration of the University leasing portfolio. The Office of Real Estate manages the University leases while also supporting core University needs. Since joining the office in 2019, Jodi has played a role in formulating processes and procedures for lease administration and implementing organized, efficient, and stream-lined workstreams for lease documents, payments, and the leasing database and has made a significant contribution towards negotiating leases and mitigating risks and reducing property disputes. Jodi is a Robert Morris University graduate, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management. She has an MBA from the University of Phoenix in Business Administration and Management. Prior to joining Pitt, Jodi worked at UPMC in the Corporate Real Estate Department, where she was responsible for a portfolio of commercial leases for assigned locations across the various UPMC campuses.

Jodi sits on the Condo Executive Board for the Assembly, the University of Pittsburgh's Space Management Advisory Committee and is also an active member of Dress for Success, where she is currently serving on a committee focusing on developing an event that will raise funds to support boutique and mobile services for local women in 2024. She is also a Monthly Giving Club member which allows the Dress for Success Pittsburgh team to continually support mobile services expansion and reach more women across the region with clothing services and employment readiness support. Also, in 2023, Jodi successfully completed the University of Pittsburgh Emerging Leaders Program as well as the Cornell University Real Estate Property Management Certificate Program. Jodi continues to pursue continuing education, board, and volunteer opportunities and has attended conferences for groups such as AUREO, Association of University Real Estate Officials.
